About Frik De Meyere

Frik De Meyere is a Belize-based real estate entrepreneur with over 20 years of international business experience. He is originally from Belgium and has spent over two decades building businesses across Europe and Central America. Frik is the founder of Prime Belize Real Estate and has closed some of the highest-value property sales in Belize, including private islands and beachfront estates.

Frik was born and raised in a small farming village in Belgium near the Dutch border. He completed his early education in Ghent and Antwerp with degrees in information technology and emergency medical services. Later, he earned an MBA from Flanders Business School and completed a second MBA at the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago.

Before moving to Belize, Frik worked in several industries across Europe. These included real estate development, information systems, cosmetics, food production, and construction. Over the course of more than a decade, he led and invested in over 20 startups. Several of these businesses were later sold or merged into larger firms. He also completed the construction and sale of more than 100 residential units during that time.

Frik first visited Belize in 2004 during a business scouting trip with his partner Ilse Van Keer. He saw opportunities in the real estate sector and began acquiring properties. In 2011, he relocated with his family and joined the BMA real estate firm in Placencia.
